Numerous instruments for the conservation and sustainable use of natural resources and biodiversity, were established in the political system prior to the signing of the Convention on Biological Diversity.
The following section on national implementation provides an overview on the legal framework, instruments and tools and comprehensive, cross-sectoral and sectoral strategic and programmatic baselines for the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity.
National reporting: Publications
With national reports on the implementation of the CBD and other conventions relevant for biodiversity, Switzerland provides reviews of status and trends of biodiversity, overviews on existing national implementation frameworks and of national strategic and programmatic baselines.
