On 2 March 2012 The Federal Council adopted the first part of his strategy of "adaptation to climate change in Switzerland".
With these adaptation strategy, the Federal Councilsets the framework for a coordinated approach to adaptation to climate change at the federal level.
The adaptation strategy consists of two parts. The first part includes goals, challenges and areas of action in adapting to climate change. The adaptation strategy is to allow Switzerland to take advantage of the opportunities of climate change, minimize risks and increase the adaptability of natural and socioeconomic systems.
